Keeping it in proportion

There is no money in Harvest Hour, but any game can start eating more of the evening than you meant. A few things we do, and a couple of numbers worth having.

What we leave out on purpose

No daily streak to protect, no notification, no reward for coming back tomorrow. The game does not know who you are, so it cannot nag you.

A sensible habit

Play a few rounds, then close it. Sixty seconds is a deliberate length — it is an easy place to stop. If you are reaching for the game to avoid something, the game is the wrong tool.

If play stops feeling optional

Talk to someone. In Australia, Lifeline is on 13 11 14 around the clock, and Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636. Both free, both confidential.

For parents

Nothing to spend, no chat, no strangers. The only thing to know is the email form — it exists to send download links and is meant for adults.
